RAMBLING ABOUT SAID ICONS W/ SPOILERS
So we had a second category set as part of the anniversary randomness. I figured I'd ramble a bit about why I made the icons I did.
#016 - little lion man
I originally wanted Damon to be in this, because it was supposed to be like Damon and his two ladies that he's loved so much its between borderline and full on destructive. I keep going to pick a specific lyric but really its the simultaneous message of I've really fucked it up this time, and you've seen this all before.
#017 - "the devil takes my hand"
So I thought that line from Paper Route's Dances On Our Graves really reminded me of Damon and Elena and of Caroline and Klaus. Obviously, I went with Caroline, because I thought the whole scenario that happened with Caroline and Klaus in 3x10 was very much a devil's deal. He saved her, but its not like she or her mother trust him at all.
#018 - cameo lover
This is less of a lyric interpretation and more of the bright colours and the one section of the music video where the background goes completely black. The bright colours and the love message about opening up your heart really spoke about Caroline to me, so here we are!
#019 - "hurts with every heartbeat"
I really think Rebekah is the most tragic of the Originals and I still completely love her. Plus she looks really good with red. Pretty much Rebekah just gets heartbreak and family drama thrown at her constantly, she comes out of one issue just to start drowning in another. I think the line, "We could keep trying but things will never change" really fits with Rebekah, anddd thats about it.
#020 - little lion man
I just liked the lights in the music video. And I think Damon is definitely a little lion man.
